01 / THE RATES

How H3 Max pricing works

USD · regular API rates

You pay for the seconds of video you generate. Longer clips cost more; your monthly spend depends on how many takes you make.

Regular fal API prices, text-to-video and image-to-video

H3 Max 480p$0.05$0.25$0.75

MiniMax H3 480p$0.05$0.25$0.75

THE MATH

Rate per second×Video length×Videos per day×30 days=Monthly budget

01

Resolution sets the rate.

Use 480p for less expensive iterations. Switch to 768p when extra detail matters.

02

Every take adds up.

Three generated versions of one shot count as three videos, even if you keep only one.

03

Budget beyond the offer.

Monthly estimates use regular rates so a short launch discount does not understate ongoing costs.

02 / THE ALTERNATIVES

Put the price in perspective.

All hosted on fal.ai

Compare MiniMax H3 vs Kling, alongside H3 Max, Veo and Seedance. All rows use fal text-to-video with audio, at the selected 720p or 768p tier. These are different resolutions, not a claim of equal output quality.

A minute means 60 seconds of total output across clips, not a single 60-second request. No promotional discounts applied. ¹ Seedance is normalized from fal’s approximate $0.26 per 5-second 720p clip; actual token billing varies with dimensions and frame rate.

² Veo 3.1 Fast also offers 1080p and 4K on fal; this table selects 720p. It has no 768p option. Kling’s audio rate excludes the separate custom voice-control surcharge. Prices from other providers or credit packs are not used in this table.

03 / GOOD QUESTIONS

A few things
worth knowing.

The details behind your estimate.

How much does H3 Max cost per video?
At regular fal rates, a 5-second 768p clip costs $0.40 and a 15-second clip costs $1.20. The calculator adjusts this to your duration, resolution and daily volume. Any eligible launch offer appears separately from the regular estimate.
Is H3 Max cheaper than MiniMax H3?
At regular 768p rates, H3 Max costs $0.08/second compared with $0.06/second for MiniMax H3. H3 Max is therefore more expensive at this resolution before discounts. Both cost $0.05/second at 480p.
Do text-to-video and image-to-video cost the same?
At our latest endpoint check, they share the same output rates within each model. They remain separate choices in the calculator because endpoint pricing can change independently. Reference-to-video has additional input charges and is outside this estimate.
Can I try H3 Max for free?
The fal H3 Max web tool advertises five free generations per day. That web allowance is separate from paid API usage, so we do not subtract it from your API budget. Availability and limits can change; check the tool before using it.
Why does the monthly budget use regular prices?
A launch offer does not last a full month. We multiply the regular clip cost by your daily volume and 30 days, and show eligible promotional clip pricing separately. This is a planning estimate, not a forecast of your actual invoice or a subscription charge.
Does concurrency change my video generation cost?
Concurrency affects how many requests can run together, not the price of a fixed amount of output. Estimating spend per wall-clock hour also requires actual request latency and utilization. This calculator instead shows cost per generated minute, regardless of how long rendering takes.
OUR METHOD

Specific sources.
Transparent estimates.

Pricing verified from fal.ai model endpoints on Sep 5, 2026. At that check, the main page stated 50% off; text-to-video and image-to-video endpoints both listed 75% off. We use endpoint rates as the more specific source.

Regular rates stay visible year-round. The launch offer is hidden from Sep 8, 2026 at 00:00 UTC, using your device clock. This is our display cutoff; fal states “ends September 7” without a timezone. Always check your endpoint before spending.

Amounts are calculated before display rounding. API usage is estimated locally and is not sent to us. This site does not generate videos or collect payment. Linked providers have their own pricing and privacy terms.
